Greiwing Logistics/Germany

As one of the leading providers in Europe, Greiwing provides tailormade complete solutions for silo logistics.

Ultra-modern cleaning systems for tank and silo containers and specially trained, experienced staff ensure silo cleaning according to the highest standards.

As a member of the Association of German Interior Tank Cleaning Facilities (DVTI), Greiwing issues the European Cleaning Document (ECD). The inspection according to SQAS Tank Cleaning guidelines also guarantees a high degree of occupational safety, quality and environmental protection.

In 2012 the international logistics provider from Greven, Westphalia opened a public cleaning system for silo trailers at the new site in Leipheim.

For the interior cleaning of the silo vehicles, the Kärcher system is equipped with two cleaning lines with cleaning heads, hot water generation via HWE 4000 E with chemical dosing, as well as a drying unit. Up to 40 vehicles can be cleaned here every day efficiently and quickly.

Wizet Transport Sp. z o.o is a company with 60 road tankers and provides services in the area of international transport of liquid substances. The company's head office is located in Łęczyca (central Poland). The tank cleaning system was put into operation in April 2012 and is used both for the company's own vehicles and also for commercial purposes.

The main components of the TSC cleaning system for road tankers are:

Gaisre

"Gaisre" was founded in 1992 and is mainly engaged in the international transport business.

As a member of the Lithuanian National Association of Forwarders and Logistics, Gaisre offers a high quality standard.

A modern tank interior cleaning system was installed in 2013 for cleaning the large fleet.

The two cleaning lines are each equipped with 3 HKF 200 E spray heads. Three 100 bar high-pressure pumps HDI 30/10 are available to supply these interior cleaning heads. The hot water and steam are generated via 2 HWE 4000 Gas. The high-pressure cleaning agent dosing unit works precisely and guarantees a long service life of the high-pressure pumps. A drying unit with gas burner is available for generating hot drying air. The control was adapted to the individual customer requirements.

All components used satisfy the high industry quality standards that characterise Kärcher tank interior cleaning systems, thus guaranteeing fault-free operation.

A resource-friendly energy concept was also considered in the design of this system solution.

Australian Terminal Services

Australian Terminal Services/Australia

Australian Terminal Services is a member of the Australian industry leader Transpacific Industries Group LTD. In 2001 they commissioned Kärcher with the construction of a large cleaning system in Queensland.

The system was designed specially for road tankers, 20-foot containers and small containers. It comprises 3 cleaning lines. Two cleaning lines for road tankers and one cleaning line for 20-foot containers. On the cleaning lines for road tankers up to 4 compartments can be cleaned with simultaneous cleaning steps.

The system is controlled with a PLC and an integrated operator panel. The operator can configure up to 5 automatic programme sequences per cleaning line.

The interior cleaning is automatic and has an optional double cleaning agent dosing unit on the high-pressure side. The external cleaning is manual and has an optional double cleaning agent dosing unit on the suction side.

Cleaning lines and individual cleaning steps can be freely selected via remote controls. The hot-air drying can dry up to 5 tank compartments per cleaning line.

LOTOS Kolej Sp. z.o.o/Poland

The rail tank cars of LOTOS Kolej are now cleaned with a new TSC system from Kärcher.

The LOTOS Group is one of the largest companies in Poland. The oil company operates both in Poland and abroad. Its field of activity includes the extraction and processing of crude oil, as well as trade with high-quality oil products.

LOTOS Kolej, part of the LOTOS Group, is responsible for the transport of the products and the oil supply to the refinery in Gdansk. Regular cleaning of the rail tank cars used is necessary, e.g., for repair and maintenance.

At this site the cleaning was previously carried out by a medium-pressure system. However, in order to increase efficiency, the customer decided to invest in new cleaning technology.

The system, which was completed in May 2012, includes 2 cleaning lines with 6 interior cleaners HKF 200 K2. They are supplied by a total of 10 high-pressure pumps HDI 38/12. The hot water is generated using 3 high-pressure heat exchangers and 1 low-pressure heat exchanger. The high-pressure cleaning agent dosing unit works precisely and guarantees a long service life of the high-pressure pumps. The PLC control was adapted to the individual customer requirements.

Lanfer is a leading, international transport and service company that specialises in material handling, as well as service and storage for the chemical industry and food sector.

In order to meet the increased demand for tank interior cleaning and the need for professional and energy-saving interior cleaning, the existing Kärcher cleaning systems at the Meppen and Salzbergen sites were upgraded and extended in 2007/2008.

The key features of the extension works included Kärcher high-pressure pump technology, more energy-efficient and patented Kärcher water heaters; additional interior cleaning heads, a drying unit, as well as the new steam generator for steaming and heating the tank vehicles, top off the refurbishment measures.

The subsidiary in Grossbeeren was built and put into operation by Steinkühler in 2011/2012.

The ultra-modern interior cleaning system for silo and tank vehicles specialises in the cleaning of foodstuffs and food-safe products.

State-of-the-art technology ensures deep, quick and environmentally responsible interior cleaning.

The Kärcher system is equipped with 2 cleaning lines, each with 5 cleaning heads and power spray head, hot water up to 85 °C, chemical application, steaming option, as well as drying of the vehicles. The heat recovery is realised from the waste water. The interior cleaning of IBC containers is also possible.

Steinkühler is a member of the Association of German Interior Tank Cleaning Facilities (DVTI) and issues the European Cleaning Document (ECD), which ensures residue-free cleaning. The cleaning systems are also certified according to SQAS, HACCP and DIN ISO 9001:2008.

Transportes Portuarios, S.A. was founded in 1963 and since then has been providing a high-quality service to its customers. With the head office located in the Port of Barcelona, Transportes Portuarios has an area of 10,000 m² in the Polígono Pedrosa de L'Hospitalet, which is intended for the parking, as well as maintenance and refilling of its vehicles.

With its large fleet, which specialises in the transport of liquid and granular foodstuffs and is subject to strict quality and hygiene inspections, as well as through hard work and commitment, Transportes Portugarios has experienced rapid and significant growth in recent years.

The tanks for liquids are made of stainless steel and equipped with state-of-the-art systems, such as microbiological filters for sterile products, independent pumps, thermometers for recording the temperatures and heating systems that prevent heat loss.

The tanks for powdered or granular goods are made from top-quality aluminium alloys and equipped with hydraulic systems for lifting and with independent compressors for unloading.

The system was designed for 2 lines, interior cleaning heads, as well as 4 HDI 38/12, which supply 15,200 l/h at 120 bar and are equipped with 3 interior cleaning heads HKF 200 and 1 HKF 200 C2 per line. Hot and cold water are supplied from upstream tanks. The system also includes a gantry car wash TB 46, with high pressure and intensive prewash, among other things.
