Pressure washing with a single spray nozzle will typically clean an area around 2" wide. This is fine for smaller areas, but what if you want to clean an entire driveway, sidewalk, wood deck or other large area around your home?
A surface cleaner widens the cleaning area to 11" or 15", depending on which model you choose.
So you can clean 2 inches at a time with a spray wand/nozzle, or 11-15 inches at a time – for cleaning large areas, the choice is clear!
A surface cleaner does not require any power to achieve its effect – it is designed so that the water pressure coming from the power washer forces a spray bar (with a nozzle at each end) to rotate.
The water pressure and spinning motion creates a gentle hover affect, helping you move the surface cleaner more easily.
Bonus: by dividing the water pressure into two nozzles, you can more safely clean delicate surfaces like wood and composite decks.
Surface cleaners improve pressure washing in two additional ways – consistent, streak-free cleaning, without soaking you in the process.
Consistent, streak-free cleaning: When pressure washing with a regular spray nozzle, you constantly move the nozzle up and down, creating uneven cleaning results. It's humanly impossible to keep the nozzle at the same distance all the time! Surface cleaners solve this issue by keeping the nozzles at a fixed height from the surface, eliminating streaks and uneven cleaning.
No splash back: A surface cleaner traps all of the water spray in its housing, keeping it focused on the cleaning – and keeping you dry in the process.
Our T 5 and T 7 PLUS Surface Cleaners for Kärcher K1-K5 electric pressure washers have a unique dial that allows you to adjust the spray pressure.
You can adjust the pressure for more sensitive areas (like wood and composite decks) up to the hardest surfaces (concrete, asphalt, etc), and everything between.
Simply twist the dial to quickly find the right setting, from low to high pressure. This is a great if you have a variety of different surfaces around the home to clean.
