For Home & Garden Kärcher products purchased in Canada. 

At Kärcher we test every machine before it leaves the factory and lifetime test every thousandth machine to ensure they will withstand many years of use, long beyond the expiry of the warranty period.

Alongside our stringent testing, we offer a manufacturer’s warranty on our products. The details for this are below.

All Kärcher Home and Garden products (other than accessories and detergents) are warranted by Kärcher to be free of defects in workmanship and materials for a period of at least 12 months from the date of purchase. For a full list of warranty periods by product, please refer to the list of home and garden products below provided the product is only used for normal household and garden tasks and not for commercial purposes.

This warranty is calculated from the date of purchase by the end user and covers the costs for replacement parts / equipment and warranty labour performed. A valid proof of purchase must be presented at time of warranty claim.

Kärcher’s obligation under this warranty shall strictly be limited, at Kärcher’s option, either to replace or repair, through an Authorized Kärcher Sales & Service Distributor, without charge during the warranty period of any part, which in opinion of the manufacturer, shows a defect in workmanship or material.

WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS

The Kärcher warranty excludes:

  • Defects by misuse, neglect, accident, abuse, improper handling, freezing, non-compliance with user or operator’s manual.
  • Normal wear and tear on components, accessories and attachments.
  • Defect caused by water sediment, contaminated water supply or use of chemicals and detergents not recommended by Kärcher.
  • Defect cause by nature, such as floods, fires, earthquakes, lighting strikes, etc.
  • Devices or accessorises not distributed or approved by Kärcher. Any use of such said devices or accessories will void warranty.
  • Repairs or modifications made by the end user or any service organization not authorised by Kärcher. Any such tampering with Kärcher equipment or accessories will void warranty.
  • Defect cause by the use of incorrect supply voltage.
  • Any cost for shipping by the customer or authorized service centre of the defective part or equipment.

This warranty applies only to parts and equipment manufactured by Kärcher. Equipment provided, but not manufactured by Kärcher are subject to warranties and service through said manufacturer’s service centers, according to the terms and conditions provided by the respective original equipment manufacturer. Kärcher is not authorized and has no responsibility to provide warranty service for such equipment.

This warranty is non-transferrable and applies only to products sold in Canada. This warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may have rights, which vary by province.

RAPID EXCHANGE PROGRAM

The Rapid Exchange Program bypasses the hassles of a traditional repair program by providing a quick and free replacement for a product that requires in-warranty repairs.

Instead of waiting weeks for your Kärcher product to be repaired, you'll be up and running again with the least possible amount of downtime.

To take advantage of the Rapid Exchange Program, your product must meet the following criteria:

  • It must be one of the following Kärcher Home & Garden products: electric pressure washer, vacuum cleaner, electric broom, window cleaner, hard floor cleaner, steam cleaner or push sweeper.
  • It must have been purchased new from an authorized retailer.
  • Note! Kärcher products purchased through online auctions, eBay, swap/flea markets and other second- and third-party markets are not eligible for the program.
  • It must have been used exclusively for residential cleaning. Kärcher products used for commercial cleaning are ineligible.
  • It must be within the covered warranty period.
  • It must be accompanied by proof of purchase. Valid forms of proof of purchase include legible copies of the original sales or gift receipt, or a credit card statement.

Kärcher will replace your product with an equivalent new product. In the event that we do not have a replacement model that exactly matches your model, a comparable or upgraded unit in performance and value from our current product range will be sent to you. This program is provided at no additional cost to you.

The specialist will ask you a series of questions and determine your eligibility to participate into the Rapid Exchange Program. You can also visit one of our Affiliated Repair Center for Home & garden products.
