The Kärcher company
Kärcher looks back on several decades of company history and is now a world-leading provider of cleaning technology. Already when setting up the company in 1935 the engineer and passionate inventor Alfred Kärcher pursued the goal of always finding new solutions for every challenge. Our current products, ranges and service offers are based on this inventiveness and our decades of experience in the area of cleaning technology. From pressure washers to vacuum cleaners, steam cleaners through to pumps, lawn mowers and much more, today Kärcher provides more than 3,000 products. The company currently holds 650 active patents, and approximately 90 percent of all products are 5 years old or younger. A clear sign that innovation is still one of the most important growth factors and essential elements of the corporate culture.
Pressure washers
1972 – HD 700
The affordable HD 700 marks the market breakthrough for cold water pressure washers. Its low weight and compact design compared to other solutions are convincing arguments for use when cleaning and disinfecting interior spaces.
1984 – HD 555
A new market: with the HD 555, Kärcher launches the world's first portable cold water pressure washer for private households. Under the motto "High-pressure cleaning – like the professionals" over 5000 devices are already sold in the first year.
2008 – K 4.00 ECO SILENT
Pressure washers are equipped with water-cooled motors for the first time. Compared to air-cooled devices, the noise level is reduced by around 10 decibels. The human ear perceives this as half the volume. Perfect for use in densely populated neighbourhoods.
2016 – Full Control range
Full Control makes high-pressure cleaning simpler and safer. The new operating concept makes it possible to adjust the water pressure and the detergent dosing using buttons on the trigger gun. A LCD display provides information on the selected operating mode. Received the iF Design Award 2017.
2024 – K 7 Premium Smart Control
Top product and currently Kärcher's most powerful pressure washer for private users - the K 7 Premium Smart Control. Includes Bluetooth, application consultant app, boost mode for extra power, G 180 Q Smart Control trigger gun, 3-in-1 Multi Jet spray lance and hose reel. It leaves nothing to be desired.

Hose reel for comfortable handling
The high-pressure hose is optimally protected and can be stored in a space-saving manner. The hose is always within easy reach and can be easily rolled up and unwound, enabling comfortable work. The positioning of the hose reel ensures a low centre of gravity, which makes possible secure footing also on sloping and uneven areas.

Wet and dry vacuum cleaners
1989 – K 2001
Kärcher launches the first wet and dry vacuum cleaner for end customers on the market, which includes so-called flat pleated filters. The K 2001 made it possible to vacuum wet or dry dirt from time to time without a filter change. The K 2001 simply sucked up every piece of dirt.
2010 – WD 5.300
Powerful and very comfortable: the WD 5.300 features automatic filter cleaning for constantly high suction power. The cartridge filter is nano-coated, therefore retains more dust and can also be used for longer.
2019 – WD 1 Compact Battery / WD 3 Battery
The first battery wet and dry vacuum cleaners come onto the market and enable cordless vacuuming with full functionality. The WD 1 Compact Battery set also offers this in the entry-level class in a particularly compact design – perfect for transport and storage.
2024 – WD 6 P S V-30/6/22/T
Our current top product and at the same time most powerful wet and dry vacuum cleaner for private users is the WD 6 P S V-30/6/22/T – extremely powerful, energy-efficient and with lots of superb equipment features such as a flat pleated filter, filter cleaning at the touch of a button, blower function and integrated power outlet.

Power outlet with automatic on/off switch for working with power tools
The vacuum cleaner is automatically switched on or off via the power tool. Shavings and dust are vacuumed directly when planing, sawing or sanding.

1994 – Vaporapid Kärcher 1000, Kärcher 1500 and Kärcher 1700
The first Kärcher steam cleaners in the Vaporapid range are extremely versatile. The all-rounders are suitable for hygienic cleaning in the kitchen, bathroom and WC, for window cleaning and floor cleaning – all without chemical detergents.
2003 – SC 1002 and 1052
With the SC 1002 and the SC 1052, the first hand-held Kärcher steam cleaners come on the market – perfect for hygienic cleaning in the kitchen or bathroom. With a compact design and large handle on the top, they are quickly ready for use anywhere and are also easy to stow away.
2015 – SC 3
Quick intermediate cleaning or the big weekly clean – the SC 3 can do both! It is quickly ready for use with a heat-up time of only 30 seconds. The tank can be filled continuously – for uninterrupted cleaning. Additional descaling is not required thanks to an integrated descaling cartridge.
2019 – SC 3 Upright
New design for enhanced comfort: with the SC 3 Upright the entire technology is in the handle – similar to a lightweight upright vacuum cleaner. The slim design and the flexible hinge at the floor nozzle make the device very manoeuvrable. Areas that are hard to reach can be cleaned effortlessly. The ergonomic handle facilitates safe guidance.
2024 – SC 5 Deluxe Signature Line
The SC 5 Deluxe Signature Line is our most powerful steam cleaner and the latest top product in this product category. It combines a number of equipment features and high-end functions that ensure power, comfort and superb cleaning results. Floor cleaning set EasyFix
The floor cleaning set ensures optimal cleaning results on different hard floors in the home thanks to efficient lamella technology. The floor cleaning cloth is attached and changed with a hook-and-loop fastener, entirely without any contact with dirt and the flexible hinge on the floor nozzle guarantees floor contact on the entire area of the floor cleaning cloth for effective and at the same time ergonomic cleaning.
* Through spot cleaning using the Kärcher steam cleaner, i.e. steaming for 30 seconds on the maximum steam setting in direct contact with the surface to be cleaned, 99.999% of enveloped viruses such as influenza viruses (except the hepatitis B virus) can be eliminated on most smooth, hard surfaces in the house (test germ: modified vaccinia Ankara virus).
** When cleaning at a cleaning speed of 30 cm/s using the maximum steam setting and with direct contact with the surface to be cleaned, 99.99% of all common household bacteria on common smooth, hard household surfaces are killed (test germs: Enterococcus hirae).
*** The minimum factor by which the product life is extended, based on internal tests with a water hardness of 20 °dH and carbonate hardness of 15 °dH.
