RECALCULATION POLICY
In 2025, the Scope 3, Category 1 base year and subsequent annual emissions were recalculated to incorporate country-specific emission factors and to correct significant errors. This recalculation did not impact our existing emissions reduction target.
Reduction targets validated by SBTi
Alfred Kärcher SE & Co. KG commits to reduce absolute Scope 1 and 2 Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions 42% by 2030 from a 2020 base year.* Alfred Kärcher SE & Co. KG also commits to reduce Scope 3 GHG emissions from purchased goods and services and use of sold products 51.6% per thousand EUR value added by 2030 from a 2022 base year. Our target has been officially validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) and can be found on the SBTi Target Dashboard. This catalogue shows the specific internal measures we are undertaking to meet these targets.

This also includes taking responsibility for the protection of people and the environment in our supply chain. Successful HR management
Employees are an essential and decisive success factor for Kärcher and therefore a central pillar of the company. The overriding aim of our HR strategy is to ensure a competitive workforce structure with long-term prospects. To achieve this, Kärcher takes measures to create a positive working environment, promote employee development and retention and ensure a high level of employee satisfaction.
In order to evaluate the development of our employees and the impact of our measures on our overriding aim, we collect meaningful key figures on the number of employees, training, staff turnover and occupational safety.
SOCIAL COMMITMENT
Taking responsibility is deeply rooted in our corporate culture. We help through rapid disaster relief, targeted corporate giving, and long-term partnerships exclusively with non-profit organizations. Globally, we focus on three core areas: Cleaning & Hygiene, Environment & Resources, and Family & Social Issues. Through these activities, we contribute to long-term value preservation. This commitment is driven by our employees, who actively contribute to society through corporate volunteering.
