Kärcher consumer products sold in the USA are covered by generous warranties and include US-based customer support.

Are Kärcher Home & Garden products covered by warranty?

Yes.

At Kärcher we test every machine before it leaves the factory and lifetime test every thousandth machine to ensure our products will withstand many years of use, long beyond the expiration of the warranty period.

Alongside our stringent testing, we offer a manufacturer’s warranty on our products.

All Kärcher Home and Garden products (other than accessories and detergents) are warrantied by Kärcher to be free of defects in workmanship and materials for a period of at least 12 months from the date of purchase. See the list below for warranty periods by product category.

Kärcher’s obligation under this warranty shall strictly be limited, at Kärcher’s option, either to replace or repair, through an Authorized Kärcher Sales & Service Distributor, without charge during the warranty period of any part, which in opinion of the manufacturer, shows a defect in workmanship or material.

When does the warranty period start?

The warranty is calculated from the date of purchase by the end user and covers the costs for replacement parts / equipment and warranty labor performed. A valid proof of purchase must be presented at time of warranty claim.

Are there any warranty exclusions?

The Kärcher Home & Garden Limited Warranty does not cover, and Kärcher shall have no liability for, any of the following:

• Non-New Merchandise: Any products sold as reconditioned, pre-owned, "as-is," or used, including but not limited to demonstration or floor models.
• Commercial Use: Any products subjected to commercial, industrial, institutional, or rental applications. This warranty is strictly limited to personal, residential, and household use.
• Unauthorized Sales Channels: Products purchased via unauthorized third-party sellers, including but not limited to unauthorized vendors on eBay or other online auction platforms.
• Misuse and Negligence: Defects or damages resulting from misuse, neglect, accidents, abuse, improper handling, or freezing. This includes any failure to operate the equipment in strict accordance with the provided User or Operator’s Manual.
• Wear and Maintenance: Normal wear and tear on components, accessories, and attachments.
• Environmental and Chemical Damage: Defects caused by water sediment, contaminated water supplies, or the use of chemicals and detergents not expressly recommended or approved by Kärcher.
• Force Majeure: Defects or damages caused by acts of nature, including but not limited to floods, fires, earthquakes, lightning strikes, or other "Acts of God."
• Unauthorized Parts and Accessories: Any devices or accessories not distributed or approved by Kärcher. The integration or use of such non-approved components shall render this warranty null and void.
• Unauthorized Service or Tampering: Repairs, modifications, or alterations performed by the end-user or any service organization not authorized by Kärcher. Any such tampering or unauthorized service shall immediately void the warranty.
• Electrical Supply Issues: Defects caused by connection to an incorrect supply voltage or improper electrical source.

This warranty applies solely to products and components manufactured by Kärcher. Kärcher does not warrant any non-proprietary parts or equipment distributed, sold, or utilized in conjunction with Kärcher units.

Equipment provided, but not manufactured by Kärcher are subject to warranties and service through said manufacturer’s service centers, according to the terms and conditions provided by the respective original equipment manufacturer. Kärcher is not authorized and has no responsibility to provide warranty service for such equipment.

This limited warranty is non-transferable and extends solely to the original purchaser of products within the United States of America. This warranty provides specific legal rights; however, the purchaser may possess additional statutory rights which vary by state or jurisdiction.
